THE ORIGINS
In Syracuse, from the Ancient Fish Market to the Restaurant
The story of La Lisca – Cucina e Bottega begins at our fishmonger's shop in the ancient Ortigia market in Syracuse, a business our family has run since 1950.
For generations, nets, the day's catch, and the first light of dawn have marked our work. The experience gained among the stalls, fishermen, and loyal customers have taught us the value of raw materials and respect for the sea.

La Lisca is born
THE FISHBONE SINCE 2016
After decades, the doors of our restaurant are opening, preserving the authentic spirit of the fishmonger and transforming the daily catch into quality cuisine.
After seven years of operating at the market, our old location, we're moving to our current location at Viale Montedoro 95, a quiet area of Syracuse's historic center, not far from Ortigia. The larger and more welcoming space retains our identity: tradition, quality, respect for raw materials, and a strong connection to the Syracuse region.
