THE ORIGINS
In Syracuse, from the Ancient Fish Market to the Restaurant
The story of La Lisca – Cucina e Bottega begins at our fishmonger's shop in the ancient Ortigia market in Syracuse, a business our family has run since 1950.
For generations, nets, the day's catch, and the first light of dawn have marked our work. The experience gained among the stalls, fishermen, and loyal customers have taught us the value of raw materials and respect for the sea.

From fishmonger to restaurant
THE FISHBONE SINCE 2016
After decades of business, we decided to give new life to the fish shop and in 2016, the doors of our restaurant opened.
That same philosophy continues today in our restaurant, which preserves the authentic spirit of the fishmonger's shop, transforming it into quality cuisine.
After seven years, we moved to our current location at Viale Montedoro 95, a quiet area of Syracuse's historic center, not far from Ortigia. The larger and more welcoming space reflects our identity: tradition, quality, and a strong connection to the Syracuse region.
